Obituary of Evelyn Mary Nemes

Evelyn Mary Nemes, of Trumbull, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 25, 2021.
Born in Fairfield, daughter to the late Joseph and Mary Nagy Nemes, Evelyn had been a Fairfield Town resident for most of her life before moving to Trumbull five years ago. She was a graduate of Roger Ludlowe High School, "Class of 1947," and later attended the Booth and Bayless Secretarial School. She went on to work for Hubbell, Incorporated for over 39 years until her retirement. Evelyn was an avid gardener and enjoyed caring for her home.
She was predeceased by her devoted friend, George Laufer. She is survived by cousins in the US, Hungary, and Norway.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Road, in Fairfield Center, with burial to follow in Lakeview Cemetery, Bridgeport. Friends may call on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services.
Special thanks are given to the aides and staff of Right at Home of Greater Fairfield County and the staff of Spring Meadows Trumbull for the compassionate care that they afforded Evelyn during the past five years.
