Obituary of Bridget Sargent Lesizza
Please share a memory of Bridget to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Bridget Sargent Lesizza of Fairfield, Connecticut, passed away on May 21, 2025, at age 51 after a long battle with melanoma.
Born in Stamford, CT, to Joseph Dudley and Sheila Reidy Sargent, Bridget was a loving wife, mother, sister, and daughter whose unique humor and undeniable optimism brought love into everything she did.
Bridget’s life was full of happiness and love. She graduated from Lauralton Hall and Villanova University, where she made many lifelong friends. She worked at AOL in Manhattan for five years. She married the love of her life, Jason Lesizza, and gave birth to three beautiful children, Luke Renato (21), Nora Sargent (18), and Gabriel Oliver (15).
In November 2020, in the midst of the COVID pandemic, Bridget proudly opened the Reef Shack Bar and Grill on the historic Old Post Road with her husband, Jason. Her goal for the restaurant was to bring families and friends together to enjoy great food and even greater company.
Bridget treasured family above all else. In addition to her husband and three children, she is survived by her beloved mother, Sheila Reidy Sargent of Fairfield; her siblings, Moira Sargent, Colleen and her husband John Murphy, Joseph and his wife Meghana, Sean Sargent, and Liam and his wife Joy; and eleven nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father, Joseph D. Sargent, and her grandparents, Martin and Mary Reidy and Gerald and Nora Sargent.
Bridget brought warmth and light to every room she entered. Whether at a restaurant, in church, or even at a gas station, she had a natural gift for making friends wherever she went. Her presence was like sunshine. Throughout her four-year battle with melanoma, she never wavered in her optimism or her loving spirit. Bridget remained caring, kind, witty, and vibrant. She is already deeply missed.
Public visitation will be held on Sunday, June 1, 2025, from 2:00-6:00 p.m. at the Lesko Funeral Home, 1209 Post Road, Fairfield Center.
