Obituary of Scott Dreyer Cussimano

    Scott Dreyer Cussimano, 51 of Seattle, WA, passed away on Monday, April 28, 2025.

    Born on February 27, 1974, in New York City, Scott lived a life marked by intellectual curiosity and thoughtful engagement. Scott earned a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from the University of California, Santa Barbara, where he developed a strong foundation in critical thinking and ethical reasoning. He later pursued an MBA at the University of Washington, blending philosophical insight with practical business acumen. His business career included positions at Microsoft and Oracle. He recently established his own company focusing on global quality-of-life initiatives.

    He loved being outdoors, whether surfing along the coasts of California and Mexico, tossing a frisbee to his late dog Fletcher in a local park, or finding his way around foreign cities. Most of all, Scott liked to laugh, whether at the absurdities of the world, or with his cherished high-school friends from Westport, CT.

    Scott is remembered by his father, Patrick Cussimano; his sister, Gail Cussimano; his brother, Erik Cussimano and sister-in-law Margo Friedman, several cousins, and many friends and work colleagues. He was preceded in death by his mother, Sissel Dreyer Cussimano.

    Scott's ashes will be scattered along the coastal waters of Santa Barbara, a place he spent a lot of time in and truly loved. May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him.

    A Celebration of Life for Scott will take place at Lesko Funeral Home, located at 1209 Post Road, Fairfield, CT, on Friday, June 6, 2025, at 11 AM. The ceremony will also include words of remembrance from Scott's friends and family. Friends are welcome to greet the family starting at 10:30 AM before the service.
