Obituary of Kenneth R. Jones
Kenneth R. Jones, 86 of Bridgeport (Black Rock), passed away on February 26, 2026. He was born in Bridgeport to the late John and Elizabeth Jones.
Ken was born, raised, and resided in Bridgeport his entire life. He worked for Jenkin Valves, then Sikorsky, and lastly Handy & Harmon upon his retirement. He had the utmost dedication to his jobs.
He is survived by his son, Gary, daughter, Karen, and grandson, Michael. Also, survived by his brother Donald and his wife/sister-in-law Bonnie, and sisters-in-law/Maureen, Dorothy, Violet, Kathleen, brother-in-law/Al, and several cousins. His nephews/David, Mark, Grant, Brian, Victor, Bill, Brian, and Scott. His nieces/Donna and Kimberly, as well as several great nephews and great nieces.
He was predeceased by his wife, Marlene, and son-in-law, Paul. Also, he was predeceased by his parents, John and Elizabeth, his brother Raymond, as well as several uncles, aunts, cousins, and brother-in-law/Bill.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2026, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, with a prayer service at 12:30 pm.
