Dushan, and Sonja,
I remember your mom from St. Emery's many, many years ago when we all attended..
Years later I would also see her walking around the area ( her neighborhood, and mine) even on the coldest days.I stopped several times to ask her is she wanted a ride, but no... she wanted to walk. I always admired her stamina.
May the Lord carry you through this deep valley of sorrow.

I loved Elizabeth. This petite woman was a force of nature - one of the most hardworking persons I have met - and
so caring and interested in her friends and their families. She would always ask for my husband and son Robert.
Like my Mom, she could be a worrier. May she and her Frank now be at rest in God's loving care.

Elizabeth and I have shared many special moments together over the years beginning at the Fairfield University RecPlex as swimming buddies. She was quite a character! I enjoyed visiting her home and garden. She had such a knack for growing the most beautiful roses and black-eyed Suzies. Of course, her tomatoes were spectacular too. She certainly had a green thumb. Having been born in Austria, Elizabeth would recount the most interesting stories about growing up in Europe and then coming to America. She was proud of her heritage and family. Edelweiss, a sign of “courage, bravery and love”, will always bring me warm thoughts of Elizabeth. My deepest condolences to Dushan, Sonja and Alissa for the loss of their mother and grandmother. May she Rest In Peace. Sincerely, Eleanor Burke
