Obituary of Frank E. Nagy

Frank Eugene Nagy, age 90, beloved husband of Judith Shadrach Nagy, passed away on July 20, 2017 in Bridgeport Hospital.
In addition to Judith, his loving wife of 58 years, Gene will be remembered by his sister-in-law Barbara Timms, of England; several nieces and nephews; and his dear friends and neighbors. He was predeceased by his mother-in-law, Mimi Shadrach, brother-in-law, Peter Timms, and cousins, Reverend Emil Nagy, Adele and Richard Hess, all of whom he loved.
Born and raised in Hungary, Frank moved to the United States in 1946. He quickly became a American Citizen and studied at Bloomfield College, where he received his Masters Degree in Divinity. After graduating, he joined the United States Air Force and served as a Chaplain during the Korean War. He worked for 25 years with Bridgeport Rolling Mill as a comptroller until his retirement.
While serving in England, he met his beautiful bride. Together, Judith and Frank enjoyed many years of dancing and traveling to New Hampshire and Maine. A talented handy man, he kept their home and garden meticulous. A man of strong faith, he was a longtime member of First United Church of Christ of Bridgeport.
Friends may greet his family on Wednesday from 10-11 AM in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home 1209 Post Road, in Fairfield Center, with a prayer service and burial in Oak Lawn Cemetery to immediately follow. Military Honor will be observed.
