Obituary of Mary Gorsuch
Gorsuch- Mary "Mae" C. Gorsuch, age 102, of Weston, devoted wife to the late Edward Gorsuch, passed away peacefully on August 2, 2017.
Mae's memory will be embraced by her three daughters: Mary Kenter (Philip) of Riverhead, N.Y.; Barbara Yasinski (Joseph) of West Palm Beach, FL; and Lynn Gorsuch of Weston, CT: and her two sons Dennis Gorsuch (Patricia Jo) of Folsom, CA and Lawrence Gorsuch of Silverton, OR; Valerie Gorsuch, of Palos Verdes, CA. She is also survived by her many grandchildren: Philip (Regina), Dennis(Connie), Kevin (Aneta), Majesta, Joseph (Jocelyn), Linda (JJ), Edward (April), Laura (Jim), Joyce, Michelle (Simon), Dennis (Soyeon), Kelly (Scott), Sean (Megan), Jenifer and Lori (Alex) . Great-grandchildren include Dennis Joseph, Christopher, Philip, Hailey, Carter, Connor, Logan, Jinsu, Jeena, Tyler, Ryan, Maeve, Jessica, Mason, Xander, Exodus, and Andromeda. In addition to her beloved husband Edward, she was predeceased by her eldest son, Edward Gorsuch.
Mae lived most of her life in various cities in New York before moving to Weston in 1961. Mae served as a visiting companion into her eighties, after having held positions in accounts payable. In addition to being a first-class mom and homemaker, Mae had become an accomplished artist in oil and acrylics. Her life passions were family, children, dogs, traveling and Willie Nelson. Mae touched many people throughout her long fruitful life and will be dearly remembered.
Calling hours will be held on Friday from 5-8 PM in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home 1209 Post Road, in Fairfield Center. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 11 AM directly in Saint Francis of Assisi Church, 35 Norfield Road, Weston. A private interment will immediately follow in Oak Lawn Cemetery.
