Obituary of Patricia Johnson

Patricia ( Patti ) Cook Johnson, age 62, of Bridgeport, wife of the late Travis Johnson, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 after a brief illness. Patti was born in Bridgeport on Valentine's Day, February 14, 1955 in Bridgeport and had lived in Hawaii and Kentucky for several years with her husband Travis until his untimely passing and then moved back to Bridgeport 20 years ago. She had worked as an office manager for Dr. Edwin Cook DDS for many years and most recently for the Chico's Clothing Store. She was a lifelong and dedicated member of St. Dimitrie Orthodox Church, in her youth she belonged to the Macaroy Youth Group, sang in the Church choir and later was the assistant Treasurer for the St. Dimitrie Parish Council and for several years was the Co-Chairperson of the Church Festival. Patti enjoyed shopping and most of all the times that she spent with her family. A devoted and loving daughter, sister, aunt, niece and friend, Patti will be remembered for caring for others above herself. She will be sadly missed by all that knew her. She is survived by her mother, Gina and also leaves behind her brothers, Theodore J. Cook Jr and his wife Elizabeth and Donald Thomas Cook, her uncle Fr. George Coca and his wife Mariana, special cousins Steve and Dean Coca and Anne Nastu as well as nieces Victoria DeNitto, Bethany Fuscaldo and great niece, Tory. In addition to her husband Travis, Patti was recently predeceased by her father, T. John Cook, Sr., a brother Robert Cook and her aunt Flora Pittu; as well as several aunts and uncles. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11 am in St. Dimitrie Orthodox Church, 504 Sport Hill Rd., Easton with burial to follow in Lakeview Cemetery. Calling hours will be held at St. Dimitrie Church on Monday from 5-8 pm with the Trisagion Service at 7 pm. Arrangements in the care of the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Dimitrie Endowment Fund.
