I first met Bill and Bobbie when they moved next door to me in our Southport Woods condo complex. We quickly got to know each other and bonded over our common Irish heritage. I will miss Bill terribly ... I saw him almost every day and often dropped in to visit with well received goodies. We both loved telling stories, sharing fruit, candies, and ice cream. He loved my tales of Ireland. I loved his sense of humor, and I enjoyed making him laugh. I have enjoyed meeting his lovely family and fondly remember our St. Patrick's Day dinner with Lynn and Jack, our CherishtheLadies concert at Sacred Heart and visits to the Gaelic Club. There are many happy memories. My condolences to Bobbie and the entire Shaughnessy clan. Mary Condon

Bill was my neighbor for the past few years. I enjoyed my visits and conversations. He told me to stop showing Bobbi, his wife, the things I was doing to my condo unit it was giving her too many ideas. He was a fun person and will be sadly missed. My condolences to the Shaughnessy family.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you, Shaughnessy family. Bill will be dearly missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him. I loved his humor, happy disposition and friendly nature. He made you feel instantly welcomed into his presence. I especially appreciate his sayings, passed on to, and generously shared by his son Mike, a very close friend of mine. I knew Bill mostly through Mike who exemplifies strong moral character, integrity, and a loyal friend and family man that Bill modeled and taught him to be. We are with you in spirit during this difficult time as you say farewell to Bill. Rest In Peace Mr. Shaughnessy.
