Joseph Richard Hylinski, age 68, of the Black Rock Section of Bridgeport, passed away on Thursday, September 21, 2017. Born in Bridgeport, Joe was a lifelong Bridgeport resident. He had most recently worked in sales for the Bargain News publication until his retirement. In his youth, he belonged to the St. Raphael Golden Buccaneers Drum and Bugle Corps. Joe enjoyed boating in Long Island Sound, amateur photography and he most especially cherished the times that he spent with his family. He is survived by his daughters, Lisa and her husband Stanley Tatarynowicz Jr of Bridgeport, Holly Mihelik and her husband Thomas of Huntington, Kimberly Slicklein and her husband Brian of Smithtown, NY and Theresa Hylinski of Virginia, sons, Joseph Hylinski of Virginia, John Hylinski and Christopher Malaney of Bridgeport, Joe leaves behind his brothers, Gary Hylinski and Robert Hylinski and his wife Karen of Bridgeport, his grandchildren Samantha Tatarynowicz and Harrison Slicklein as well as several nieces and nephews. His infant daughter, Michelle, predeceased him. A Memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday at 11 am in St. Ann Church, Brewster St., Bridgeport. There will be no prior calling hours.
