Obituary of Concetta Illuzzi

Concetta "Connie" Mary Illuzzi, age 73, devoted wife of Savino Illuzzi, of Middletown, NJ passed away peacefully in Fairfield on September 22, 2017 while surrounded by her loving family.

In addition to Savino, her beloved husband, Connie's memory will be embraced by her children, Frank Illuzzi, MD, and his wife Laura LaVelle, of Fairfield, John Illuzzi, and his wife Jessica, of Fairfield, Michael Illuzzi, and his wife Jennifer, of Sharon, MA; her cherished grandchildren, Eva, Thaniel, Cecilia, Michael, Clara, Julia, and Camilla; her siblings, Philip Lembo, of Oakland, FL, Santi Lembo, of Staten Island, NY, and Joseph Lembo, of Forest Hill, MD.

Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Philip and Philomena Santomartino Lembo. After high school, Connie studied cosmetology and became a talented beautician for several New York City and New Jersey beauty salons until her retirement. Among her greatest life joys were spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren, world travel, Broadway theatre, enjoying the beach with friends, and reading. She will be remembered for her unwavering love of family, friends, and God.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 3-7 PM in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home 1209 Post Road, in Fairfield Center. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 11 AM in Saint Anthony of Padua Church, Fairfield, with entombment to follow in Oak Lawn Cemetery.
