Obituary of Allen C. Blade
Allen C. Blade Sr, age 83, of Bridgeport, husband of the late Edith West Blade, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 20, 2017. Born in Bridgeport, Mr. Blade was a lifelong city resident and proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He had worked for many years for the Santa Fuel Co. until his retirement. In his younger years, Allen was a professional rodeo rider for both the Circle Dot and Cimarron Ranches. He was an avid boxing fan and enjoyed watching the Green Bay Packers. He is survived by his son, Allen C. Blade Jr and his wife Cherita of Bridgeport, daughters Dorothy Cimmino and her husband Glenn of Bristol, Edith Jean Milo of Bridgeport and Deborah Condors and her husband Robert of Greenville, NC. He leaves behind grandchildren Necole Gutierrez, Sheronda Stevens, Keith Milo Jr, Kyle Milo, Justin Blade, Dominique Mathon, Ashley Blade, Elbamarie Blade and Dremar Blade, great-grandchildren, Keirra Milo, Kaden Milo, Serenity Milo, Khloe Milo, Alanna Blade, Naomi Mathon, Micah Mathon, Deyanira Gutierrez, Amaya Gutierrez, Breanna Howard and Andrew Howard, also brothers Peter and Leslie Blade, a sister Suzanne Blade and an aunt Anna Leone as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Benjamin Blade, Jr. and sister Shirley Tracey. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 28 at 11 am in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Rd., Fairfield Center with burial to follow in Lakeview Cemetery with Military Honors.
