Obituary of Gloria M Lent

Gloria Marie Campbell Lent, beloved wife of Andrew Edward Lent, Jr. of Easton, passed away quietly with her family nearby on October 29, 2017.
 
In addition to her devoted husband Andrew, Gloria's memory will be embraced by her sons, Christopher Paul Lent and his wife Elizabeth, of Merrick, NY, and Daniel Peter Lent and his wife Kira, of Easton. She was the loving grandmother of Alexander, Christina, Ian, Caroline and Charles, and treasured sister of Iris and John Culhane; her cousin, Lorraine Terner, and several nieces and nephews. Gloria was predeceased by her son, Andrew Edward Lent III.

The daughter of the late William and Bertha Hartman Campbell, Gloria was born in Bronx, NY, on December 28, 1929. She graduated from Walton High School, Bronx, NY and later from Sacred Heart University, in Fairfield. A resident of Easton since 1965, her greatest joy in life was raising her family whom she was so proud of. Gloria was a longtime member of Black Rock Yacht Club, where she built many friendships. She saw the good in those others overlooked, was a lover of music and song, and brought joy to those around her. She never gave up.
 

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday (November 1) from 4 to 8 PM in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home 1209 Post Road, in Fairfield Center. Funeral services will take place on Thursday at 11 AM in Christ Church of Easton. Her interment will follow in Aspetuck Cemetery.
