Obituary of Ada Elsa Caputo

Ada Elsa Caputo, age 65, devoted wife of Peter Caputo, Jr., of Fairfield, passed away November 13, 2017 in Deltona, Florida.

In addition to Peter, her devoted husband of 37 years, Ada will be remembered by her parents, Jose and Elsa Cruz, of Deltona; her sister-in-law, Susan Caputo and her companion Fred Stienkoff, of Hamburg, NJ; several cousins, and her feline friend, Gilbe. She was predeceased by her parents in law, Peter and Ruth Caputo, who truly loved her as their daughter.

Born in Puerto Rico and raised in New York City, Ada moved to Fairfield with her husband in 1980. While in the City, she worked for American Brands and Bankers Trust. Once in Connecticut, she began work as an administrative Assistant for Greens Farms Academy and later organizing the child care for Trinity Episcopal Church of Southport. She loved being around and caring for children, as well as,  animals. At home, she was a talented cook and gardener. Ada and Peter shared many wonderful years together, and enjoyed traveling the United States, Italy, Hawaii, and more.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 4-8 PM in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home 1209 Post Road in Fairfield Center. On Wednesday at 11 AM, a graveside committal will take place in Riverside Cemetery, Norwalk.
