Obituary of William D. Devaux

William D. Devaux, age 67, of Bridgeport, loving husband of Patricia Mylen Devaux, entered into eternal life on Saturday, November 25, 2017. Born in Bridgeport to the late William and Anna Mae Sheppard Devaux, Billy was a 1969 graduate of Andrew Warde High School in Fairfield. Billy proudly served his country during the Vietnam War as a member of the United States Army. He had worked as a machinist for Bullard Co. and later as a customer sales associate at Costco in Norwalk. Billy was a lifetime member of the SS Norden Club in Black Rock and was an avid New York Yankees and Giants fan. In addition to his devoted wife of 35 years, Patricia, Billy's memory will be lovingly remembered by his son, Denis Devaux, and his wife, Melissa McDowell Devaux, of Bridgeport; a brother, Patrick Devaux, and his wife, Linda, of Fairfield; a sister, Darlene Bagley, and her husband, Donald, of Stratford; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sisters, Renee Bedford and Allison Cavallaro. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 from 4-8 p.m. in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Road, in Fairfield Center. His Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. directly at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Fairfield. A private burial will take place at Lawncroft Cemetery, Fairfield.
