Obituary of Dr. Dennis Gregory Dolny

Dr. Dennis Gregory Dolny passed away surrounded by his family on January 9, 2018. Son of the late Joseph and Frances of Easton. He leaves behind a devoted family: his wife, Ellen, his children Meghan, Gregory, Meredith and Madeline, his son-in-laws Erik Saenz and Talon Louder, grandson, Antonio Dennis, his brothers Tom and wife Barb Dolny of Texas and Chris and wife Cathy Dolny of Shelton. 15 nieces and nephews and 15 great-nieces and nephews.

 

He was an active father to his children and countless others, including the young men in Boy Scouts and the young women in the Moscow Volleyball Club. Throughout his 24 years at the University of Idaho and over 10 years at Utah State University, his fierce intelligence and kind heart guided hundreds of students towards their research and academic ambitions. His sense of humor has made life a joy for all. Those who know him are better because of him. He will be deeply missed.

 

A celebration of his life will be held on January 27 at 3:00 pm at the Utah State Campus
