Obituary of Albert W. Tuba

Albert W. Tuba, age 89, of Fairfield, beloved husband of Patricia Williamson Tuba, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 24, 2018. Albert was born in Fairfield on September 29, 1928, son of the late Joseph and Barbara Konja Tuba and had been a lifelong Fairfield town resident. Albert was a graduate of Bullard Haven Trade School and was a United States Army Veteran having served during the Korean War. He had worked as an engineer and tool and die maker for the Empire Manufacturing Co. for over fifty years until his retirement. In his youth he enjoyed bowling and playing softball. In addition to Patricia, his loving wife of 65 years, he leaves behind his daughters, Barbara Lynn Tuba of Fairfield and Donna Marie Winters and her husband J.Douglas of Milford, his granddaughter Shannon Elizabeth Winters, a brother Zoltan B. Tuba and his wife Joy of MA, nieces Jennifer Peyton of MA, Jeanne McClear of CA and Judy Horvath of RI, nephews Geoffrey Tuba of MA, Charlie, Louie and Mike Horvath of RI, Daniel Tuba and his wife Susan of Monroe, CT and Thomas Tuba of CA. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by a sister Elsie Faustine, brothers Andrew and Gus Tuba and nephew William Tuba. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11 am in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Rd., Fairfield Center. Full Military Honors will follow.
