i am very shocked and saddened to receive this news. I know Max from the Ansonia Rod and Gun Club, where I have been a member for 34 years. Since my retirement several years ago I have, as Range Officer, run the rifle range on Tuesday mornings when Max and several other rifle shooters would gather to shoot rifles as well as shoot the breeze. He was a good friend, and will be greatly missed. I am so sorry I did not see this last week as I would have tried to attend the services, although that might have been difficult to arrange as my 96 year old Aunt had also just passed away, and I was hospitalized with a suspected heart attack. I will spread the word about Max's passing to his other friends in the club.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Mones family. Max was a very nice guy and always greeted us with a smile and hello at White Pines. Even helped by lending a ladder. RIP Max
