Obituary of Marlene Burbank

Marlene Czombos Burbank, age 64, of Ansonia, passed away peacefully while surrounded by her family on March 8, 2018.

She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Debra Dermastja and her husband Martin, of Stratford, Michael Yates and his wife Cedra, of Ansonia, Danielle Mikita and her husband James, of Ansonia, Kelly Burbank and her fiancee Paul Wojciechowski, of Naugatuck; her cherished grandchildren, Martin, Angelina, Michael, Matthew, Noah, James, Adrienne, Nicholas, Connor, Daniel, Nathan, and Landon; her siblings, Karen Hoadley, of Bridgeport, Billy Czombos and his wife Robin, of Ansonia; several nieces. In addition to her parents, Julius and Elsie Dearman Czombos, she was predeceased by one brother, Jerry Czombos. 

Born in Gulfport, Mississippi, Marlene had been an area resident for most of her life. She worked as a waitress for several local restaurants including New Colony Diners in Bridgeport & Monroe, and Duchess Diner in Stratford. She loved her family and especially adored her grandchildren. Marlene also enjoyed reading and caring for her dogs. 

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, March 15th, from 3-7 PM in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home 1209 Post Road, in Fairfield Center, with a prayer service to be officiated by Reverend David Rowe at 6 PM. Her interment will be private.
