Obituary of Kathleen DeBlois
After a 4 year courageous battle with a neurological disease, Kathleen C. DeBlois passed away in Bridgeport Hospital on Friday April 6, 2018 surrounded by the comfort of her family. Kathy was a University of Connecticut graduate and a teacher for many years before staying home to raise her family. Several years later, Kathy went back to work at Vitramon Inc in Monroe CT holding various management positions for 25 years before retiring in December 2015. Kathy's first priority and greatest joy came from her family, two children Beth Gabriel (& James Slack) and Cass Mieczakowski (& wife Anitra), stepdaughter Marie deJesus (& husband Victor) and five grandchildren Emma, Sophia, Ashlyn, Joshua and Kyle. She leaves behind her brothers Christopher Carr and William Carr. She was predeceased by her parents William Carr and Mary Lou Carr-Miller, her sister Winifred and stepfather Joseph Miller. Kathy was the rock of the family during the course of her illness which was comprised of many surgeries and strenuous treatments. Kathy was always more concerned about the health and well-being of others before herself. Kathy enjoyed traveling, and together with her husband Donald, enjoyed cruises and sightseeing adventures in Europe and much of United States. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 12, 2018 at 11 am directly at Holy Family Church, 700 Old Stratfield Rd., Fairfield. Burial will take place privately.
