Obituary of Judith Anne Sopko

Judith A. Sopko, age 60 of Bridgeport, beloved wife and best friend to Albert Sopko, passed away on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at St. Vincent's Medical Center after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born and raised in Rhode Island, Judy was the daughter of Richard and Dorothy Craven. She moved to Connecticut during high school where she attended Rodger Ludlowe High School in Fairfield. Judy earned her certification to be a Nurse's Aide and had worked for 3030 Park and Southport Manor. She was an avid New York Yankees and Giants Fan and loved watching games with her husband. Judy enjoyed spending time with her family, playing board games, watching game shows, and reading.
In addition to her husband Albert of 37 years, Judy is survived by a cherished daughter, Rose Yaksic and her husband, Enzo of Saugus, MA; her mother, Dorothy Craven of Fairfield; three brothers, Edward Craven and his wife, Eileen of Cohassett, MA, Richard Craven and his wife, Patty of Stratford, and Philip Craven of RI; several nieces and nephews, and her beloved grand-cats "Tucker" and "Hobbs". She was predeceased by her father, Richard Craven and a sister, Maryanne Craven.
Friends may greet the family on Sunday, April 15, 2018 from 4 to 7 PM in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home 1209 Post Road in Fairfield Center with a prayer service to be held at 6:30 PM. The family would like to thank the staff of St. Vincent's Medical Center for their compassionate care they gave to Judy.
