Stephen Strange

Obituary of Stephen Jeffrey Strange

Please share a memory of Stephen to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Stephen Strange, of Fairfield, passed away on July 3, 2018.  He leaves behind his sisters, Libby Strange of Long Beach, NY;  Terri Powell and husband Steve of Standish, ME; Peggy Strange and husband Rich Croce and their son Gordie of Killingworth, CT. A brother, Rich Strange of Wells VT predeceased him.

Steve thrived on projects and was always lending a helping hand. The outpouring of love, support and help from his neighbors and friends in this difficult time has been amazing and a tribute to all Steve has done in his life for others.  Steve was a huge sports fan, especially of the NY Mets. His nephew Gordie (whom Steve adored) will always remember the awesome day they spent together this past June sharing an afternoon game.

Visitation and celebration of Steve’s life will be held on Monday, July 9 (his 61st  birthday) from 4:00-8:00 PM at Lesko and Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Road, Fairfield, CT, with a remembrance at 7 pm. In lieu of flowers, Steve would want us to remember him by helping a friend, by being kind and by giving generously of our time and ourselves as he did.
