Obituary of Andrew Mason

Please share a memory of Andrew to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Andrew Scott Mason, age 40, of Bridgeport, peacefully entered into eternal life on March 16, 2021.

Born and raised in Bridgeport, Andrew moved to Leawood, KS for several years before moving back to Bridgeport. A man of many talents, Andrew had worked in landscaping and for The Seagrape. In more recent years, he found his calling as an assistant funeral director at Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, where his natural talents and thoughtful attention to detail genuinely touched each family served.

Andrew took great pleasure in spending time with his children and friends while motorcycle riding, dirt bike riding, jet skiing, and snowboarding.  He loved being creative and sharing his artistic talents with his children. He enjoyed cooking for his loved ones and had the biggest heart of gold, always willing to help anyone in need without a second thought. The handiest person anyone knew, he took great pride in his many fixing and building projects, especially the coffee table that he built with his children.

He will be lovingly remembered by his two adored children, Tanner Franco and Aubree Franco-Mason; loving parents, Steve and Dolores (Cueto) Mason; his cherished grandmother, Dorothea "Mima" (Porciello) Cueto; sisters, Lauren Mason and Alyssa Rosso; brothers, James and Sheila (Cosgrove) Cueto, of Naugatuck, Drew Caddell, of New Mexico, Grant Caddell, of Texas, and Kyle Caddell, of Missouri; cousins, Jessica (Mason) and Sean Bennett, Curt Mason, Melanie (Mason) and Colin Renner, and James Mason, all of Texas, Nichole Kinsman, of Stamford, Doug and Alicia (Rocha) Kinsman, of Monroe, and Dan and Dale (Cialfi) Kinsman, of Trumbull; and aunts and uncles, John and Erika (Gilmour) Cueto, of Monroe, Theresa Cueto, of Bridgeport, Carmela (Alibrandi Cueto), of Naugatuck, Lynn (Mason) and Doug Caddell, of New Mexico and Colorado, Chuck and Lynda (Knapp) Mason, Cindy (Melick) Mason, of Texas, and Doug and Debi (Miakos) Kinsman, of Trumbull.  Andrew had countless friends near and dear, but most especially, William “Bill” Krzynowek who was always by his side.

Raven, Sterling and Betta are confused.  They know something is wrong or missing but are doing their best to help us all to find peace.

He was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Cloyce L. Mason, maternal grandfather, Paul A. Cueto, Sr., paternal grandmother, Adina (Kuehne) Mason; an aunt, Anita L. Cueto, uncles, Paul A. Cueto, Jr., Gregg A. Mason, and Gary Rosso, Sr.; a cousin, Austin L. Caddell; and his dear friend, Bret Cravalho.

A loving son, father, grandson, brother, nephew, cousin, and friend, Andrew will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday, March 21, 2021 from 3-7 p.m. in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Road, in Fairfield Center. His Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday, March 22, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. directly at St. Theresa Church, 5301 Main Street, Trumbull.
