Marianne Posser, age 66, of Bethel, passed away on Monday, August 13, 2018 after a long illness.

Born and raised in Bridgeport, daughter of the late William Posser Sr., and Mary ( Lena ) Gallant Posser, Marianne lived in Sandy Hook for most of her life before moving to Bethel seven years ago. She had worked for as a supervisor for the F and Dine Company her entire working life until her retirement. Marianne was an avid New York Jets fan and especially enjoyed the times that she spent with people while volunteering at the Newtown Senior Center and helping the seniors write letters to our Servicemen and women around the world.

She is survives by her brother, William Posser, Jr. and his wife Fatima, a sister Barbara Posser, all of Stratford; nephews William, Jeremy, James, Joseph and Eric Posser; a sister-in-law, Sue Posser; as well as her dear friends, Bill and JoAnn Bruetti. She was predeceased by her brothers John and Joseph Posser.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday, August 26, from 3-5 pm in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Rd., Fairfield Center with a prayer service at 4:30 pm. Burial will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
