William E. Miller, age 83, of Stratford, entered into eternal rest on Thursday June 28, 2018 at Bridgeport Hospital. He was born in Bridgeport on January 8, 1935, son of the late William F. Miller and Esther Plumbly Miller. Bill was predeceased by his wife, Judith Lilya Miller who fought a courageous battle with ALS. Bill retired from the United Illuminating Co in 1994 and enjoyed traveling to Florida and overseas to Ireland and Germany and enjoyed cruises to Alaska, St. Petersburg and the Caribbean Islands. Puerto Rico and Mexico. Bill loved to sing and he sang with the Harugari Singing Society, the SNET Chorus and the Summer Festival Chorus of Fairfield University. He was a longtime member of the Knights of Columbus, the Germania Schwaben Club of Bridgeport and the Gaelic American Club of Fairfield. His memory will be cherished by his longtime companion Walma Petrov, her family and grandchildren, his brother in law and sister in law Clifford and Patt Lilya and their family. His Memorial Mass will be held on Tuesday, August 28 at 11 am directly at St. Mark's Church, 500 Wigwam Lane, Stratford and burial will follow in Lakeview Cemetery, Bridgeport. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Mark's Church. Arrangements in the care of the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home.
