Virginia Bognar Dolny, age 89 of Milford, beloved wife of Edward Dolny, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 7, 2021.

Born and raised in Bridgeport, daughter of the late Stephen and Pearl Kish Bognar, Mrs. Dolny had been a Milford resident for over 60 years. She had worked as a secretary for the Bridgeport City Engineering Dept and later for the Milford City Engineering Dept until her retirement.

Virginia was a longtime member of Trinity Lutheran Church where she sang in the choir for many years. In her youth she enjoyed roller skating, music, crafting, and antiquing. She especially liked the times that she spent with her friends playing bridge and with the Gourmet Club.

In addition to Edward, her loving husband of 65 years, Virginia leaves behind her sons, David Dolny of Milford and Curtis Dolny of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 15 at 11 am directly at Trinity Lutheran Church, 21 Robert Treat Parkway, Milford with burial to follow in Kings Highway Cemetery, Milford. There will be no prior calling hours.

Arrangements in the care of the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church or the American Heart Association.
