John Marc Garland, age 64, of Stratford, husband of Michelle Garland, passed away on Tuesday, July 27, 2021.

Born in Baltimore, Maryland on October 2, 1956, son of the late John Joseph and Mary Eileen Garland. Marc had lived in Westport, Black Rock, and Stratford for most of his life. He had worked for the Tradebe Environmental Services company for several years.

Marc enjoyed the times that he spent with his friends at the hunting camp, watching sports, especially the Yankees and football; as he was the Commissioner of the Norden Club Fantasy Football League. He was very proud of his Irish heritage. Marc belonged to the S.S. Norden Club of Black Rock as well as the Gaelic-American Club of Fairfield.

In addition to his loving wife Michelle of 19 years, Marc leaves behind his children, Jack Garland, Marykate Garland, Meghan Garland, Michaela Garland, and his step-daughters, Cassandra and Sara Szogas; as well as his sister, Elizabeth Block, and her husband, Peter, of Virginia, and their four children Jennie, Theresa, Steven, and Matthew.

A visitation will be held for family and friends on Saturday, August 7, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Road, in Fairfield Center.
