Richard Henry Nicolett, age 76, of Bridgeport, passed away on Wednesday, July 28, 2021.

Born and raised in Bridgeport, son of the late Patrick and Louise Iodice Nicolett, Richard was a lifelong city resident. He worked as a mechanic for Mickey's Garage of Bridgeport for many years until his retirement. He enjoyed playing golf and pool and was an avid Boston Red Sox fan.

He is survived by his children, John Nicolett and his wife Evelyn of Bridgeport, Robert Nicolett and his wife Sonia of New Hampshire, Richard Nicolett of Bridgeport, Dawn Sova of Iowa and Michele Hammond of Florida. He leaves behind his grandchildren, Christopher Nicolett and Isabella Nicolett, Zachary Grant and Frances Stacey, great-grandsons Brandon, Tyler, Jayden and Ryan. Also surviving is a brother, Louis Nicolett and his wife Trina of Beacon Falls as well as several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, August 6 at 10 am directly at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Daniels Farm Rd., Trumbull. Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 5-8 pm in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Rd., Fairfield Center.
