Obituary of Patricia Semosky

Patricia A. Carroll Semosky, age 96, beloved wife of John. D. Semosky, formerly of Stratford and Fairfield, recently passed away.

Patricia graduated from St. Vincent’s Nursing School and was a distinguished graduate of the US Cadet Nurses Corp where she gained expertise in medicine, pediatrics, and obstetrics. Patricia continued her profession as an Alzheimer’s RN at the Jewish Home for the Elderly and was an oncology nurse for many years in Fairfield.

Patricia balanced her career and family life with devotion and grace. She was an avid cook, gardener, reader, singer, and craftsperson. She found great pleasure in the time she spent traveling with her beloved husband. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and aunt, she will be missed by all.  

Patricia is survived by her daughters Catherine Steadly and Mary-Kate Conroy, son-in-law James Conroy, her grandchildren Ryan and wife Ashley Steadly, Christopher Steadly, Libby Conroy and husband Chris Rapparlie, Peter and Catherine Conroy, and two great grandchildren John and Amelia Steadly. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Mary Ann Semosky, and many wonderful nieces and nephews.

Patricia is now united in Christ with her adoring husband of 67 years John D. Semosky, her son John P. Semosky, her brother Richard Carroll, two sisters Genevieve Kirik, Kay Sweeney, her parents Richard and Catherine Carroll, and many wonderful in-laws.

A private internment will take place with the immediate family. A memorial Mass at Saint Marks Roman Catholic Church, Stratford CT will take place next year.
