Obituary of Stephen J. Roach

Stephen J. Roach, age 92, of the Black Rock section of Bridgeport, passed away peacefully on August 27, 2021.

The oldest of six children of Stephen H. and Mary (Casey) Roach, Steve graduated from St. Ann School and Fairfield Prep, Class of 1947. He worked as a clerk at Bridgeport Brass Co., Philips Medical in Shelton and at Fairfield University until his retirement. He was a devout Catholic and parishioner of St. Ann Church, as well as, a member of the Gaelic American Club and earned a lifetime membership in the AOH. Until physically unable to do so, would take part in the March For Life in January every year in Washington D.C.

Steve will be remembered by his loving family including his brothers James P. Roach, MD, and his wife, Joan, Thomas J Roach, and many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews, and two great-grand nephews. He was predeceased by parents, siblings David Roach, MaryAnn Sullivan and Eileen Roach, Sisters-in-law Irene and Agnes Roach, and nephews Matthew and Edward Roach.

His Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, September 1st, at 11 AM in St. Ann Church, 481 Brewster Street, Bridgeport, with interment to follow in St. Thomas Cemetery, Fairfield.
