Obituary of Dawn Melissa Zmarzlak

Dawn Melissa Zmarzlak, age 51 of Fairfield, passed away on Monday, September 6, 2021.

Born in Bridgeport and raised in Fairfield, daughter of Richard and Phyllis Pagliuco Kuhn, Dawn had been a Fairfield Town resident all of her life. She had worked as a paralegal for the Law offices of Russo and Rizzio.

She enjoyed travelling to various islands, especially vacationing to Hawaii, she enjoyed going to concerts, Bon Jovi was her favorite. Dawn liked motorcycle rides, dining out and more than anything loved the times that she spent with her family and cooking for her family and friends around the holidays. She will be greatly missed.

Dawn is survived by her parents, Richard Kuhn and his wife Nancy of Newtown and Phyllis Kuhn and her companion Gus Markoja of Fairfield, her sons, Tyler Zmarzlak of Shelton and Dylan Zmarzlak of Fairfield, her longtime companion Chas Deitz of Fairfield, sisters Darlene Chatlos and her husband Paul of Fairfield and Kerilyn Peck of Newtown, uncles Robert and Philip Pagliuco, Keith Kuhn and family of Fairfield, Ronald Kuhn of Stratford, cousins Robin and Bobby Pagliuco, Roger Kuhn Jr. of Fairfield,Tim Dvorsky of Bethlehem, Brandon and John Dvorsky of Branford and a nephew and her God son Paul Chatlos. She was predeceased by her brother Dean Randle Kuhn.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 10 at 11 am directly at Holy Family Church, 700 Old Stratfield Rd., Fairfield with burial to follow in Mt. Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport. Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 4-8 pm in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Rd., Fairfield Center.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made through the funeral home and will be used for a charity which helps others in need.
