Obituary of Mary Jordano
Mary M. Campo Jordano, age 96, formerly of Monroe, wife of the late Frank A. Jordano, Sr, passed away on Friday, October 1, 2021.
Mary was born in Bridgeport on March 9, 1925, daughter of the late Isabelle and Lawrence Campo. She attended Butler Business School where she became a bookkeeper. She had worked for Zemel Brothers for many years until her retirement.
Mary was very active in her church, St. Jude's of Monroe. She was an Extraordinary Minister and visited many parishoners who were home bound. She was a Bible facilitator for many years. Mary delivered baskets for the Monroe Senior Center for Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter. She enjoyed working on the Italian Festival every year.
Mary enjoyed playing cards with her brother in law and two sisters in law. She also liked knitting and made blankets for her grandchildren.
Survivors include her children, Peggy Child of Fairfield and Frank Jordano Jr and his wife Edith of Huntington, granddaughters Christine Johnson and her husband Fritz and Jennifer Ferrando and her husband Chris, Nana leaves behind her great-grandchildren Kelsey and Paige Johnson and Matthew Ferrando as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband Frank, Mary was predeceased by her brothers Joseph and Peter Campo and sisters Narcissus Rowland and Lena Limbert.
Friends may call on Wednesday, October 6, at the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Rd., Fairfield Center from 9 am until funeral services begin at 11:15 am and then continuing to her mass of Christian Burial at 12 noon at St. Jude Church, 707 Monroe Tpke, Monroe, Ct 06468. Her burial will follow in Lawncroft Cemetery, Fairfield.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Church or the Alzheimers Association.
