Gregg will remain forever in our hearts as a Friend, a Mentor and a Teacher.
He was the most amazing, giving, human being anyone could be lucky enough to know and he contributed hugely to Kealan’s childhood since they started playing banjo together at a young age. They were the best of buddies and Kealan always chuckles when he remembers one of Greggs funny sayings.
Thank you Gregg for all you gave us … we will never forget you,
Claire, Jane and Jack, Thank you for lending him to us for those weekly lessons xoxo

We are so blessed to have had such a wonderful caring person encourage our Áine’s love of playing the fiddle weekly for over 9 years, 3 summer jaunts to the Catskills and numerous house parties! Claire, Jane & John thank you for sharing this amazing man with us.

I will always remember the warmth a the house concerts at the Bernet's.
They always supported the best Irish traditional musical groups that passed through Connecticut from Ireland.
Especially Mr. Hoban’s Master Classes.
Picture of Greg on Left taken from a Wednesday evening at the GAC.
May our Good Lord bless Greg and his entire family!

Gregg was the pillar of Traditional Irish Music in Fairfield County and beyond. He performed, taught, produced and passed on his love for the music and it’s traditions. I will miss him terribly as Will countless others. Sincerest Condolences to Claire and family.

Gregg will be so deeply missed by the Ludlowe Cross Country Community. He was the historian, cheerleader, photographer, tireless presence and anchor for the team. We loved and valued his insights, passion and love for the sport and the team. I will personally miss his smile, pearls of wisdom and calming presence at every meet, even when he was bravely fighting his illness. Thank you for all you did for us and the light you brought to the world. My deepest sympathies to the Burnett family. May your wonderful memories keep you warm in this difficult time.

May all the wonderful memories of this truly selfless, humble giant of our community sustain Clare, Jane, John and all of Gregg’s family, both of blood and by affection. He certainly ran the good race and was the most true and faithful servant to music of all kinds, but especially the preservation and growth of traditional Irish music. Slan Abhaile Gregg!

Rusty and Jeff: Oh, how I so fondly remembered Gregg when he coached us on the Fairfield Blues. Such a great role model for us, even at that tender age. My thoughts are with you and Gregg's family; may he rest in peace. BJ Finnell, Chester, Vermont
