Please share a memory of Sarah to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Sarah “Sadie” Anaclerio, age 79, of Fairfield, CT, beloved wife of Angelo Anaclerio, passed away quietly at home on November 23, 2021 surrounded by her family.

Sarah is survived by a family spanning multiple states and multiple countries. This includes her loving husband of 48 years, Angelo Anaclerio, her daughter Jennifer Trifiatis, son-in-law Peter Trifiatis, and grandchildren Lucille and Sarah; her sisters Irene Allison and Marie McMullen and her brothers William McMullen and Patrick McMullen and their families, all from Scotland; her sister-in-law Tina Anaclerio of Maryland; and multiple nieces and nephews, and their respective families located across the country and the world. Sarah is predeceased by her parents William and Sarah McMullen of Scotland, her sister-in-law Lydia Kettani of Maryland, and brothers-in-law Joseph Boyle and Gordon Allison, both of Scotland.

Sadie worked in the travel industry for most of her adult life. After growing up in Scotland, she moved to America at the age of 18 to live with family friends in New York City. After a number of odd jobs, Sadie started work at Pan Am in New York City, a company which she worked at for close to 20 years. In the mid 80's, Sadie left Pan Am and proceeded to work as a travel agent in the Fairfield County area for another 10 years or so before she retired. During her time at Pan Am and as a travel agent, Sadie traveled the world. She visited her family members who were spread out around the globe and experienced sites and cultures too numerous to count. Her time at Pan Am allowed her to meet her husband Angelo. Angelo's sister, Lydia, worked with and was good friends with Sadie at Pan Am. Through Lydia, Sadie and Angelo met in 1972. They quickly fell in love and were married less than a year later in 1973.  They began a life together which lasted over 48 years.

Throughout her life, Sarah had many hobbies and loves. As a young girl in Scotland she spend many years as a Girl Guide. She loved to read and enjoyed trying new things such as knitting and crocheting. As a grandmother, she loved the time she got to spend with her two granddaughters. She would spend hours with them reading, playing games, baking, having sleepovers, and going on little adventures to the beach. Sarah also spent a great deal of time volunteering with Swim Across the Sound, a charity very near and dear to her as she was a multi-time survivor of breast cancer and wanted to give back as much as could.
