Don and I have a long and lasting friendship with Sophia for many years as she was our wonderful hostess at Duchess. Although we didn't know her family personally, we did hear many pleasing stories and saw many photos Our sincere condolences go to everyone in her life that she loved so dearly. My thoughts and prayers are with you all through this difficult time. We can rest in knowing that we will see Sofia again when we are all called home. God bless you all.

My deepest sympathy to Sofia's family for your lost, she was a very special lady who always greeted you with a smile and we always talked to her at lunch. I gave her special Hungarian cookies when I made them at Easter and Christmas. I will miss her terribly. It won't be the same going there for lunch with my friends.

My sincere condolences to Sophia's family...
She was such a beautiful person, mother and grandmother. I met her about 30 years ago at church, our children went to Sunday school together, and I have such fond memories of her at church as well at Duchess where she worked. I have lived in Shelton for the past 27 years, and would always see Sophia at Duchess, she would always give me a hug & kiss, and we would always catch up on what our kids, and grandchildren were doing. I truly will miss this sweet wonderful woman, she was truly a one of a kind woman, God bless her soul, RIP my friend❤❤❤

I was very shocked and saddened to hear of Sofi's passing. We became good friends as she served me food at the Duchess for over 15 years. She at many times would sit with me and talk as time would allow. She will be missed by many loyal friends. My sympathy to her family and we will all say a prayer for her soul.

TO SOFIA'S FAMILY & FRIENDS...
I JUST SAW SOFIA MAYBE A MONTH AGO!!
SHE WAS SUCH A VERY SPECIAL PERSON THAT I LOVED SEEING WHEN I WENT TO THE SHELTON DUTCHESS. MY HUSBAND WAS ALWAYS THERE AFTER HE RETIRED AND WHEN SOFIA FOUND OUT HE HAD PASSED AWAY, SHE WOULD HUG & KISS ME EVERY TIME I SAW HER. SHE WOULD CONSOLE ME AND I ALWAYS FELT A LITTLE BIT BETTER AFTER I LEFT. SHE DIDN'T MIND MY CRYING AND I ALWAYS LOVED HER COMPASSION. SHE WILL BE VERY MISSED

Whenever we went to Duchess in Shelton, our day was brightened if Sophia was working. She always had time to chat and catch up on the latest events in your life. She loved sharing news about her grandchildren. Sofia made a trip to Duchess a special event and we always left with our spirits lifted. You will be missed by us and so many others! Our condolences to all the family.

I moved to SC many years ago. I would head up to Shelton to visit family every year and I would always go to that Duchess. The first time I met her many many years ago she asked me where I was from and I told her Myrtle Beach South Carolina, but originally from Bridgeport. And every time she saw me she would make a comment about me visiting from Myrtle Beach. Year after year she always remembered me. She was a really nice person. Rest in peace
