Obituary of Gary Argianas

Please share a memory of Gary to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Gary T. Argianas, of Stratford, passed away peacefully, with his family by his side, on March 4.

Gary was born in Bridgeport on September 27, 1953 to the late Harry and Bess Argianas. He graduated from Central High School and studied at CCSU. He was a licensed electrician for over 40 years, working for Carpenter Steel and Schick, and retired in 2018.

To know Gary was to know you were taken care of. He always put others ahead of himself and loved spending time with family and friends. He was the first to lend a hand on a project around the house. While his electrical work was supreme, plumbing projects usually led to some type of mishap, and he was likely the sloppiest painter in southwestern Connecticut, but he was hard-working, determined, and always got the job done! Gary enjoyed family trips, often to the beach. His favorite past times were crabbing, clamming along the Connecticut shore, and fishing. He was often seen walking around town in Stratford and at Walnut Beach in Milford. Gary was a huge New York Mets fan and loved going to games in New York and spring training games in Florida. He had a love of animals, especially his dogs Dusty and Angel as well as his buddy, Odie.

Gary leaves behind his son, Garett Argianas and his husband, Nathan Pancione; daughter, Stephanie Argianas, and her longtime partner, Julian Sandoval; his sister, Maryann Brezosky; nephews, Michael Sarni and Jason Brezosky; niece, Lindsay Mazzarella, and her husband, Michael. He was predeceased by his loving companion, Bernadette Sardo; brother-in-law, Mark Brezosky; and nephew, Michael Jason Moher.

Thank you to the staff at Bridgeport Hospital who treated Gary and his family with grace and compassion.
