Obituary of Joseph Raymond Guimares

Joseph Raymond Guimares, Jr., age 57, beloved husband of Eva Philippas Guimares, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, March 18, 2022.

Joseph was born and raised in Bridgeport, along side his brother, Gary Guimares. Sons of the late Joseph Guimares Sr., and Gloria Ravis Guimares. Joseph worked and perfected his craft as a painter under his business "Painting By Joseph" for many years. He took pride in everything he did.

An outdoors man avid about fishing, hunting, gardening, and caring for his home. Joseph will be lovingly remembered for his good heart, protection and especially for his love of family, which was his life. He will be greatly missed.

Survivors include his son, Joseph DiMaggio, of West Haven; daughters, Kystal Guimares, Nicole Guimares, Faith Guimares, and Lizabeth Guimares, of Bridgeport, CT. He leaves behind his nieces, Holly Guimares and Gabriella Guimares; alongside his grandchildren, Jasiah Mitchell, Joey "Jo-Jo" and Isabella DiMaggio. 

Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 24, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. at the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Road, in Fairfield Center. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services.
