Dear Family of Patricia.. it was with great sadness that we learned of the passing of Patricia from our daughter,Dawn DeBiase ... I (Carol) met Patricia only once at Fairfield, but I will always remember that meeting.. One didn’t need to be in her presence very long to feel her spiritual impact... However, for our daughter, Dawn, Patricia played a major role as Dawn experienced great sadness, confusion, and inner turmoil... Patricia gently guided Dawn both spiritually and professionally during a dark, lonely time in her life...For that, we will be eternally grateful.. They became close friends through the years , and Dawn often spoke of her lovingly, gratefully and respectfully... Patricia provided Dawn with insight and support continually.... What a beautiful lady she was!! I know she will live on in our daughter’s heart and the hearts of so many others she counseled... May our loving Lord be with all her family at this very difficult time;and may He hold Patricia tightly in His loving arms. Surely this incredible lady is already with Him!! Sincerely, Carmen & Carol Quintiliani .. Waltham MA

I met Patricia in the summer of "65" as we bothed worked at a camp at Central Catholic High School. I didn't know her before then but we became friends. I remember going over to her parents house in Westport on Saturday nights and watching tv and especially "Get Smart". I remember spending summer nights at Longshore Country Club. We just did things teenagers did back then before you got your license. Then just as quickly as it began it was over. Her family moved and I never heard about her for almost fifty years. Then one day I saw a request from Classmates on my computer. This was 2012 and mind you the request from was from 2010.Low and behold it was from Patricia. So I got in touch with her and made plans to see her next time I was in Ct. I live in Florida. We met at her office in the chapel on the campus of Fairfield University. You can imagine after fifty years you have a lot to talk about and we did. We took a nice walk around the campus enjoyed each others company talked, laughed a lot and shared fifty years of life. I finally left after about three hours promising to keep in touch and we did with cards on holidays and occasional e-mails over the years. My biggest regret is I never saw her again. For some reason our schedules never meshed and last year when I was up I was sick the whole week I was here. I was just getting ready to let her know I was going to be up again and maybe we could get together wheh I saw the news of her passing. I was schocked didn't know that she was sick. Just happy to have gotten to see her and spend a few hours enjoying her company. My condolences to her family and all her friends. After reading some of the letters of condolences I'm convinced the world was a better for having Patricia in it.God Bless you my friend and may eternal light shine upon you. Thanks for the memories.

I will always remember my dear Patricia as the amazing, loving, spiritual, caring woman who comforted and guided me at the lowest point of my life. Over 11 years, she continued to nurture me with her gift of understanding and love. She will forever be with me until we meet again.

Words cannot adequately describe the depth of my sorrow.
Yes, Patricia was a wonderful psychotherapist. She had no difficulty proving that to me. My first counseling session with her had me convinced. I told her I was mad at God having lost both my wife, Patty and son, Christopher within the same five-year period. She said "...that's a good start. I can understand why you would be mad at God. I would be, too!..."
Patricia was much more than a grief counselor. She became a dear friend. When Father John Baran, another wonderful lost dear friend, referred Patricia to me when Christopher died of cancer, I could tell immediately we were going to connect. She never pretended to understand, or judge my loss. But, she was blessed with a special gift for interpreting my words when I was hurting the most.
Patricia, there's no doubt you're in Heaven. If not, the rest of us don't stand a chance! That said, on the contrary, there's no doubt that you'll be there at Heaven's gate, along with Christopher, to plead my case.
God bless and take care of you for eternity, as you have taken care so many over a lifetime. I was truly blessed to have had my life intersect with yours when I needed your professional gifts and friendship the most!

Our earth undoubtedly
will now spin slower,
because she has departed
Our skies undoubtedly
will now shine brighter,
because she has arrived
Our lives undoubtedly
are far, far better,
because she has loved us

Patricia had a profound influence over my spirituality, and my life. Anyone fortunate enough to call her a friend was blessed to have known her. Her vibrant spirit will permeate Fairfield University for many, many years to come. I love you, Patricia. Thank you xoxoxo

Patricia will be missed by many particularly in the Fairfield University and St. Anthony of Padua parish communities. I met Patricia as a Fairfield University Ignatian Residential College mentor in 2004.
With a shared last name, almost the same age and matching gray hair we became the “twins”. Depending on what changes we were advocating at the time - some might say the “evil twins”. We shared the joy of an extraordinary mentor community and wonderful students.
When my brother was dying in 2007, she taught me the importance of, and how to accept, that each person grieves in his/her own way. It’s served me well. She was also the person I grabbed as I needed to step away from my brother’s internment.
But more importantly we shared many laughs, good movies, and a love of the Fairfield University community. Rest In Peace special lady.
