Obituary of Stella Balamaci

Please share a memory of Stella to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Stella Balamaci, 71, passed away peacefully with her family by her bedside. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. Everyone that knew her knew her for her kindness and calm demeanor. She was a retired nurse. Early in her career she was a pediatric nurse at St. Vincent's Hospital in Bridgeport, CT. She had worked for 20+ years at Bridgeport Healthcare Facility. She was loved by her patients and colleagues alike. Her passions were cooking, being around family and she took great pride watching her grandson, Nicholas, excel in hockey during high-school and now at the collegiate level. Her granddaughters also excel in various sports and brought great joy and pride to her at all times. The impact her easy-going demeanor had on the family will forever be missed. She was loved by all. She is survived by her daughters Erica Boanno (Dominick) and Kara Fritz. Dominick was more like a son to her in every way). Her beautiful grandchildren, Nicholas, Ava, and Taylor. Her sister, Cris Balamaci, and brother, Nick Balamaci (Mari); also her dear nephew, Ryan Balamaci and his fiance, Brianna Candido, in addition to her Aunt Virgina Dumitre and several cousins.
