Dear family, Your mom/sister was such a gift to all of us at the Bigelow Center. When I think of Doris I think of a big sweet smile, a wonderful sense of humor, a knack at throwing the dice at Bunco and winning, a love of the cookies they served at the center and a friendliness that was hard to match. I was so sorry to hear that she had been ill. She will be so missed by all of us who enjoyed Doris' company at the center. With my deepest sympathy to all of you. Sincerely, Peggy Chandler

To Stephen and Joe and family, your mom was a larger than life person, her sense of humor, caring and kindness was so amazing, I met her from Genovese and Scott's Stationery and when Stephen hung out with Jack and Pete. Her and I talked again when she went on Facebook and we chatted a few times and sent messages. She was still the same from when I first met her. She will be missed.
