Obituary of Denise Witkowski
Denise Witkowski, age 61 of Stratford, loving wife of Bernard Witkowski Jr. passed away on Wednesday, September 21, 2022.
Denise was a longtime Stratford resident and worked as a ParaProfessional for the Fairfield School System. Denise was an artist at heart and enjoyed creating artwork in all forms, but she had a true penchant for stained glass making. Denise also enjoyed writing, watching old movies - especially Hitchcock films, listening to music - namely Aerosmith and the Rolling Stones, but most of all, she loved spending time with her grandson, Peter.
In addition to her husband Bernie, Denise leaves behind her son, Henry Raymond DiJulio IV, his wife, Larissa Nicole DiJulio; and her grandson, Peter Jon-Michael DiJulio, of Derby; her son William Bernard Witkowski, and his fiancé, Molly DiToro, of Stratford; her father, Michael (Giddo) Terek, of Fairfield; her brother, Paul A. Terek of Westport; her sister in-law, Colleen Witkowski, of Stratford; her nephew, Nicholas Terek, and his fiancé, Madeline Wewer, of Fort Lauderdale, FL; her nephew, Elliot Terek, and his wife, Kayla Terek, of Fairfield; her niece, Melissa Bimmle,r and her husband, Jason Bimmler; her niece, Diana Citron, and her husband, Roberto Citron; her niece, Meghan Gill, and her husband, Gus Franko; her great-nieces, Alexia, Mariana and Eloise; her great-nephews, Zachary and Carson; and many dear friends. She was predeceased by her mother, Dolores Terek; her brother, Peter T. Terek, and her mother in-law, Mary Ann (Mema) Witkowski.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, October 4th from 4p-7p in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home at 1209 Post Rd., Fairfield. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 5th at 10a at St. Thomas Aquinas Parish Church at 1719 Post Rd., Fairfield.
