Obituary of Thomas Dennis Holleran

Thomas Dennis Holleran came into this world on January 10, 1954 and left his mark on it until November 14, 2022. He was raised in the Black Rock section of Bridgeport. After St. Ann School and Notre Dame High School, he attended the University of Bridgeport and Sacred Heart University. He devoted much of his professional life to drug and alcohol intervention. To that end, he founded the Drug Education Athletic League, working with athletes from Auburn University and the NFL. Afterward, Tom founded THB, his own marketing company that was highly successful throughout the years and continued to excel in sales for the rest of professional career. 

He will be especially remembered for his keen yet inclusive sense of humor and could “work the room” at any time, Tom was a character who marked his world with character.

Thomas leaves behind Susan McGowan of Fairfield, his life partner and the mother of his children, daughter Michelle of Fairfield, son Tommy of Fairfield and daughter in law Chrissy of Fairfield as well as brother Tim of Shamokin, Pennsylvania. In addition he leaves behind his brother in law Jed McGowan of Fleetwood, NY, his brother and sister in law John and Barbara Lee of Fairfield, his niece Tiffany Lee of Bronx, NY, nephew Chris Lee, his wife Hilary Lee and their son Atlas Lee of Goldens Bridge, NY. He was especially fond of Tommy’s daughter, Faye, with whom he spent much of his last year. 

Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 4-8 PM in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home 1209 Post Road, in Fairfield Center. His Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 12 PM in Assumption Church, Fairfield.
