Obituary of Helen H. Hudock

Helen H. Hudock, age 97, of Fairfield, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 3, 2017 after a brief illness. Born in Bridgeport on February 14, 1920, Helen was a lifelong Fairfield Town resident. She had worked for the Casco Products Co. of Bridgeport for many years until her retirement. Helen was a parishioner of the former Holy Trinity Byzantine Catholic Church of Bridgeport, where she was a willing volunteer for all church functions. She was very proud of her Hungarian heritage and enjoyed cooking and baking her ethnic specialties. Helen especially enjoyed the times that she spent with her family and friends. She was very fond of all of her friends from the old neighborhood who would always watch out for her and she thought of them as her family. A caring aunt and friend, she will be greatly missed. Helen is survived by her nephews, Edward Kulhawik and his wife, Stephanie, of Chatham, MA and Thomas Kulhawik and his wife, Julie, of Stratford; nieces, Joan Bergman of Chandler, AZ, Christine Marcus and her husband, Dr. Burton Marcus, of Mesa, AZ, Susan Partridge and her husband, Tom, of Wellington, FL and Lynn Hudock and her husband, Richard Kuchta, of Fairfield; as well as many great nieces and great nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, John Hudock and sisters, Elizabeth Stein and Pearl Kulhawik. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 9 am DIRECTLY at Holy Family Church, Old Stratfield Rd., Fairfield with burial to follow in Mt. Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 4-6 pm in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Rd., Fairfield Center.
