Obituary of John H. Bisack II

Please share a memory of John to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

John H. Bisack II, beloved husband of Evelyne, passed peacefully surrounded by family on December 9th, 2022 at age 93. He was the son of the late Edwin and Florence Anthony Bisack of Astoria and Bayville NY.

John completed college as a U.S. Navy and Air Force veteran. He continued serving his country in the U.S. Army, and was stationed in Germany where he met Evelyne Scheitz, his devoted wife of 65 years. They married and lived in NYC where their daughter Kathryn Bisack was born. John and Evelyne welcomed their son John H. Bisack III in Fairfield CT, and enjoyed decades of family time with his son's wife Michelle; his grandchildren Amanda Bisack Caputo and her husband Richard, Tyler Bisack and his wife Allie, Brandon Bisack and Max Rafferty of Cape Cod; and Gianna Bisack, his incredibly independent great granddaughter and her unborn brother; He is also survived by his sister in law, Christina Scheitz. John's secret for a long life "marry young to a good woman you love".

With finance and engineering degrees from Hofstra University, John became a sales engineer for HPM Corp. He was proud that his son and granddaughter Amanda became Hofstra alumni. His passions included boating, clamming, HAM radios, being a Mason, rebuilding computers, visiting tag sales, and enjoying good food. His last meal was a Sunny Daes strawberry sundae.

On Saturday January 7th at 1 PM, there will be a memorial service in Stepney Baptist Church 423 Main Street (Rt.25) in Monroe concluding with Military Honor, and a reception to follow in the Bisack’s home. Friends and family are welcome to join all or any part of this day to celebrate John’s life. For travel directions or to sign his guest register, please visit www.LeskoPolkeFuneralHome.com
