Obituary of Sarah Pogany

Sarah Filomena Pogany, age 23, of Trumbull, passed away on February 2, 2023.

Sarah had a passion for helping others from a young age and aspired to become a nurse. First becoming an LPN, she then graduated from the RN program at Jersey College and passed her license exam shortly before her passing.

She will be remembered for her sense of humor and her willingness to help both people and animals in need. Her goal in life was to become a psychiatric nurse as well as a mental health advocate.

In her own words: "I’m so proud of me. If only people knew what I’ve been through and what I’ve overcame. I learned to never give up no matter how difficult life can be, to keep fighting and working hard towards accomplishing my goals. I'm so blessed and thankful that I can be one of the people that gets to take care of others."

Sarah’s memory will be lovingly remembered by her parents, John and Ginger Pogany, of Trumbull; and her brother, Jason Pogany, of Trumbull.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, February 13, 2023 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Road, in Fairfield Center. Her Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday, February 14, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. directly at St. Theresa Church, 5301 Main Street, Trumbull, CT 06611.
