I had the privilege of knowing Dr. Roach when I was a nurse at St. Vincent's 1973-75. He was a wonderful doctor, but I recall he was an even more wonderful human being.
He was respectful of staff and patients in a way that was most memorable. His soft-spoken manner made him so approachable.
My prayers are with all his family and friends at this time of loss.

My condolences to your family. Dr. Roach was my doctor for many, many years. I remember when he joined Dr. Beck's practice as a brand new doctor. He was so kind and compassionate to me. When I had follow-ups with him over the years, I always felt comfortable with the fact that he knew my chart and knew me personally. I was sad to see him retire but am grateful to him for making sure he had a great doctor like Dr. Muldoon to take his place. Dr. Roach was a wonderful human being.

Dear Joan and the entire Roach family, Jim was one of the most professional and compassionate Doctors I have ever known and had the pleasure to work with him. Watching him come to see patients. Day or late night always to comfort and reassure patients. most of which were full or fear and concern. His calming, warm smile and professional manner seemed to help them feel comfort. In my own family Dr Roach attended to my family members, always asking how they were feeling. Dr Roach will forever have a special place in so many peoples' hearts. Eternal Rest grant onto him O Lord and may the Perpetual Light Shine upon him.
