Obituary of Audrey Virginia McLean
Audrey Virginia McLean, age 85 formerly of Plymouth, MA, passed away on Wednesday, March 8, 2023.
Born in Weymouth, MA on November 13, 1937, daughter of the late David and Nora Smith Sharp, Audrey was a lifelong Massachusetts resident. She had worked for the Edison Energy Company of Boston for many years until her retirement. Audrey enjoyed her last years living in Fairfield, Ct., Audrey served as an usher in her church in MA and in her younger years was a semi-professional women's bowler. She was best known as a people person, she loved being around people, was a good listener and confidant to her many friends. Her motto was to " live your life as best as you can and bring what you can to the world instead of what you can take from it ". Audrey will be lovingly remembered as a wonderful mother and best friend. She will be greatly missed.
Survivors include her devoted daughter, Amanda McLean and her husband Andrew Blake Gabbett of Fairfield, nieces and nephews Steven MacLean, Kim and Blake Hoering, Susan, Michael and Amy Bozarth, cousins Sandra Smith and Bob Maclean and her best friend Sylvia Coughlin.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday, March 19 from 12 to 3 pm in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Rd., Fairfield Center with a prayer service at 2:30 pm. Burial will be held privately in Massachusetts.
