In more recent years, he was a member of the Douglas Golf and Country Club, where he enjoyed golfing in the tournaments. He loved spending time at his vacation home and traveling with his loving wife Sharon.

During Bob's 10 years as a Distribution Manager for Southwire Company, in  Douglas, GA, his team was recognized in a company wide "Safety In The Work Place" video challenge for being the best, an honor he considered among his most precious career achievements and memories. For the last year and 1/2 Bob worked for Spectrum Distribution in Douglas, GA as a Shipping Manager, where he had a way of making his employees perform to the best of their abilities.
