Frank S. Greco, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully with his devoted wife and granddaughter by his side at the VA Hospital, West Haven, CT on Saturday, April 1, 2023.
Frank was born on August 6, 1942 in the Bronx, NY to the late Peter and Mary Borrelli Greco. In addition to his devoted wife, Barbara Cavaliero Parks, Frank is survived by his beloved granddaughter, Taylor Parks, who was always by his side and with him on his last day, her mother, Lynne Parks, and her brother, Nicholas Parks. He is also survived by his "adopted grandson", Marcos Flores who was by his side on his last day. Frank’s brother, Richard, and his wife, Sally, of Hickory, NC, their children, Elizabeth and Peter; his son, Matthew; and grandsons, Jonathon and Matthew.
He is also survived by his devoted stepson, Richard Davies, and wife, Michelle, of Massachusetts; his loving step-grandchildren, whom they adored as Gramps, Sarah Davies Benza, her husband, Tim, and Robbie and Daniel Davies; his stepson, Christopher Parks, of Georgia, and his children, Sean and Stephanie, and her son, Jackson.
He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Maryann Cavaliero Buzzeo; his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Robert and Pamela Schmidt Cavaliero, and their children, Clare & Travis Pincoskis, of Maryland and their two children, Jack & Luke. Also, by his nephew, RJ, and wife, Bridget Cavaliero, and their son, Dylan. Frank is also survived by his loving cousins, Diana Sfarra, Danielle Milano, Pamela Barbaro, and Valerie Barbaro. Also, cousins, Vincent and Louis Zaccardi, Johanna Brelsford, and Louis and Frank Provato.
Frank was close with his cousin, Frank Cavaliero, and they were buddies serving as Knights and very involved with our Church, St. Francis Xavier. Frank had a special friendship with Bob & Laurie Anderstrom from South Carolina. Frank & Bob, when together, were pranksters. Frank was a graduate of the University of New Haven and Iona College, where he received his MBA.
Frank proudly served his country in the Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. Frank received the following medals: National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal w/60 Device, Expert (Rifle), 2 Overseas Service Bars, and the Vietnam Service Medal.
Frank served on several boards in the town of New Milford. He was a member of the Zoning Board of Appeals, the Housing Partnership, Community Emergency Response Team (CERT), Treasurer of the Republican Town Committee, and Moderator for the Registrar of Voters. Frank was the Past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus Council #40 and achieved the highest awards for the council during his term. He was currently a Trustee for Council #40. Frank was also a member of the VFW Post 1672 and the Permittee for the VFW.
Frank loved to travel and go to Hawaii and to Graceland. These are the places he had planned to visit again. He took great pleasure in boating and fishing. Frank always had a smile on his face and greeted everyone he met with a happy handshake.
Frank’s Funeral Service will be held on April 21, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Francis Xavier Church, 26 Chestnut Land Road, New Milford, СТ 06776.
