Obituary of Kenneth William Maraczi
Kenneth William Maraczi, age 74, of Milford, husband of the late Roberta Desmond Maraczi, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, April 24 in Milford Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Bridgeport and raised in Fairfield, son of the late William and Elizabeth Ribnyak Maraczi, Kenneth had been a Milford resident for many years. He was an Army Veteran, serving during the Vietnam War as a SP4 wheel and track mechanic stationed in Nueromburg, Germany.
He had worked as an automotive service manager, most recently for Stanley Motors of Old Saybrook until his retirement. Ken had been a commity member of the Sea Scouts of Milford(ship 721), a volunteer for the Boy Scout Troop 721 of Milford and belonged to the Milford Elks. Ken loved working on his Model A Ford, his Hot Rod, which he rebuilt and on any vehicle that he could. In his younger years enjoyed playing drums with his band " The Oppositions " and passed that gift on to his son. He loved animals; he had several dogs, Guinea pigs and his favorite cat, Boo. Ken had a great sense of humor and was always ready to surprise you with a joke.
He will be lovingly remembered as a man who cared for people and would always put others before himself. He will be greatly missed by his friends and family. Kenneth is survived by his son, Kenneth D. Maraczi and his wife Juliann of Milford, sisters Geri Amoroso and her husband Jeffrey and Mary Maraczi, all of Bridgeport, a nephew Brandon and his wife Berna Amoroso and a niece Beth and her husband Corey Spear as well as other nieces, a nephew and several cousins.
